01Does NSDR replace a nap? No. Direct comparisons remain limited and guided rest is not sleep. If you need to recover sleep, sleep is the relevant response; a calm break may justify trying NSDR.
02Do I have to stay awake? The name suggests it, but drifting off can happen. That does not make the session a treatment or show that it replaces a night of sleep.
03Are ten minutes mandatory? No. Ten minutes are the duration used in the direct studies cited here, not a universal dose. Starting short mainly helps you observe tolerance and perceived effect.
